Woke up at the crack of dawn to snow falling. and lots of snow. I decided to wait to hit the roads until the sun rose. Once on the road I never went above 45.45mph for 200 miles. it took me all day. Encountered the first accident about 3/4 of the way. The traffic was dead stopped for at least an hour. Once we got rerouted through town, less than a mile was another accident. This one just occurred as the trucks load was all over the freeway. Looked like Amazon boxes, two more accidents until I was able to turn off the freeway. Once I arrived the truck GPS gave me the wrong directions so turning around in a parking lot is fun. Arrived at the receiver and was told they won’t accept the load until Sunday at 530am. There was no one there to unload it. SO had to back track 1 hour to find parking in this hell called PA. Now parked for the night.
The day was stressful enough, but just thinking about my love all day made it a little better. I still struggle with the pain as the days have not gotten any easier. People say they will, it’s been 6 months now. And I hate every minute of it. I wish i could just give her a hug. See her beautiful smile.
It is a bit chilly here. 30 degrees and lots of snow. Paula would not have liked it. But she would have been a sport and drove on. I don’t like the East Coast, at all. It just looks dirty and grimy. However, there were parts of the PA turnpike that were not that bad. Rolling hills and forest with small streams decorating the landscape.
