Seen 10 to 12 states and made many memories. Been down some winding 2 lane roads that would give the average person white knuckles. But it has been fun. The mountains by far have been the best part for me. Whether the Rockies, The Smokies or the Cascades, they all are beautiful. We have seen homeless from Los Angles to Olympia, WA. But once we started to move east the camps became more and more spare. Seeing piles, and I mean piles of junk piled on the side of the road, not only creates an eye sore, but you must wonder about those that are sleeping in the tents we saw, by the groves. One individual I did give 5$ to. His story was compelling. Another memorable stop was seeing an older man wearing a 7th ID patch on a hat from the Korean war. 7th was my first Army unit. I did stop to say hello, just wish I would have taken a quick photo. To eat healthier, we purchased a small oven that plugs into the lighter. Going to try it tonight for the first time. No more truck stop food. Need to try and eat a little healthier. There are many pictures I have taken, but I will have to post those at a later date once I get a more solid internet connection. Also have some video that needs to be edited.
